Chip off the old helmet

Ok, so I just wanted to ask some opinions. As I cleaned my helmet of countless flies today, I saw some damage on top of my helmet. (It is the marked spot in the picture.)
It obviously hasn’t gone through and it seems to only be damage to the black outer shell. I have got no clue where it has come from, but expect it might have been a little stone on the highway or something similar. The helmet has never been dropped or banged into anything, that I know for sure.
