First Start / Engine Pre - Oiling

My Seca II has been sitting in various states of (dis)repair for about 4 years. It all started as a cylinder base gasket leak and it has morphed into rebuilding just about everything on the bike. 17k miles.
When I was putting the top end of the motor back together I put engine assembly lube on the pistons and in the head (camshaft guides and lobes) and plan to drop a tablespoon of oil in before I insert the new plugs.
Should I disconnect the plug wires and crank the engine for 10 seconds a few times to get oil up everywhere? Am I being paranoid?
Motor turns freely by hand. Thanks guys.
The cylinder head was off for a long time I'm sure there is lots of dust inside the motor now and special concerns? Was planning on additional oil/filter change after first 10-20 miles.
