Hose hook ups

Where do I go to see where all of the hoses hook up. The ole Haynes manual shows where hook up are on fuel pump, but what about the others. I just bought a 98 XJ600 and some hoses were unhooked when I pulled tank to clean carbs. Also has anyone ever installed a jet kit ? Like how do I raise the needle ? I cleaned carbs and installed jet kit and been talking to the jet kit people but they don't seem to know that much about a XJ600 and the way the needle is set up. Anyway , no gas going to cylinders when I crank it over ??
