Hi everyone!
Bought myself a 97 XJ600S last year. The reason, it was the cheapest bike in that shape with bags within a a couple of hours of my house that I could pick up the next day!
The bike has seen better days, a few rust spots here and there, and some of the usual service things needs to be done. Changed the clutch right away, but valves and floats needs fixing quite soon. Not sure how much I will do with the bike as it's mostly a means to an end right now being the cheapest and fastest way to get from home to the airport. Narrow roads and a ferry on the way makes a bike very handy and cheap during the warmer months of the year. Bags are from Givi, top and side mounted. Usually just run with the top bag since it makes it easier to sneak through traffic.
Best upgrade so far is a cheap watch mounted in the windscreen to see if I am in time to catch the ferry!
