Hello from East Anglia

Hi everyone, just a quick post to introduce myself. I hail from the wilds of East Anglia & have a serious obsession with anything mechanical. Having owned, ridden & occasionally customised motorcycles since 1976, the custom bug has risen its ugly head again. After spending most of the winter looking for and failing to find anything remotely affordable, I finally settled for a 1992 XJ600S (purchased last month) with the intention of turning her into a cafe, brat or tracker (not fully decided yet):
She is a bit of a nail, with knackered exhaust, knackered front brake, wrong rear tyre etc. etc. but the engine seems sound. To date I have sorted the brake, exhaust & will be changing the rear tyre next week. I am now in the process of getting her naked (oh-err!). I will endeavour to write further posts regarding the progress & pitfalls in due course.
Finally a big thank you to all contributors on this site, you are a rich mine of extremely useful information.
