Well guys it's been a long time coming, Since i completed my 1st XJ, i did buy another to fix up very cheaply.. It was a complete bike with that had been unloved for some time and the only major issue was the starter gear, well that's an easy job once you've completed one already.
So i got the bike home ordered the gear and gaskets o-rings etc, as i already had the list of parts required. Striped the bike down cleaned and replaced the gear, and put it back together.......
Thats where is sat... for at least 6 months. (normal story - family kids money)
Well it summer now in OZ so started the build again....... Cleaned and painted the frame and engine (no photos sorry) and today i placed the engine back in the frame, I used an old mattress and it worked very well. Now the bikes ready to be have all the bits n pieces add back to it.
LET THE FUN BEGIN...
