Hello again all,
It's with a heavy heart that I post this morning. Last night while I was at work I had a customer approach me asking if the red bike outside was mine. She had witnessed a woman in a crv hop the entire curb and hit my bike running over the forks in the process. The woman who hit my bike was inside shopping and if it hadn't been for the lady who witnessed the event my bike would've layed in the parking lot untill the end of my shifft.

I called the police and got the accident reported, but I have no idea what to do with my poor bike( ive never been in an accident or anything like this before.) I contacted the driver's insurance company and an agent will be there today to assess the damage. I do not have any comprehensive coverage for it. The bike is unrideable. The front forks are misaligned, with the left leaking oil from the seal. Oil is leaking from the timing cover (?) On the right hand side. The steering was locked when it was hit and now refuses to unlock, the front wheel doesn't rotate well and to add insult to injury she won't start. I love this bike and don't want to see her go. Any and all advice is appreciated.

It's funny to think that I only joined the forums a week ago as well as survived my first 300 days on a bike only to have it mowed down In a parking lot :lolno:
