Had to create a new account, trying again

Hoping to get some great info and advice from this sight for my first motorcycle. I plan on cleaning the bike up and converting it to a naked. Right now it's in the shop getting inspected, new form seals and tires and will be ready to go after I take the safety course this weekend.
