matel plate in brake cylinder

Hi,
Still waiting for the additional carb gaskets to come in, in the meantime I took the front brake cylinder apart and out dropped a little metal plate, with notches left and right fitting into the housing, and a small hole in the bottom. Not sure where it came from, on top of the seal or just laying in the housing. I can't seem to find that part in the partzilla breakdown of the cylinder, and it seem to be the OEM on the bike, at least by the looks.
Anyone has an idea where it came from?
