Broken Cooling Fans

Hey everyone, I'm looking at purchasing an xj600, and my only reservation is that it was dropped and some engine fins broke off. I'm assuming since it's an aircooled motor, the cooling fins are important.
When I checked it out I let it idle for a while and lot drove it, and it didn't overheat. But I was wondering if anyone knows if this needs to be repaired (maybe even by jb weld for the time being) or if it can stay like that. Here are some pics:
