Risks of driving on with rattle clutch

Hi there,
Tomorrow I will be looking at a new xj 600 that i'm probably going to buy. I know that it has the clutch rattle only my question is: what are the risks of driving on with it? Is it harmfull in any way?
I'm sorry if it out there on the internet, but i could only find fixes and stuff..
