Unused electrical connector

So, I'm in the process of installing handgrips and now have them all mounted up (back on the original bars too 
) and ready to wire in
My plan is to use the same method for a switched power supply a la Full Circles accessory socket guide.
In trying to identify a suitable grounding point, I have found an unused black bullet connector tucked in behind the right hand infill panel.
Any idea what its for, or if it should in fact be connected to something?
