New Shim Sizes & Calculator

Hi All,
Checked my valves on the weekend to find that some of the Inlet & Exhaust valved require new shims. I am now a little confused as looking at the manual Shim size chart it it telling me that i need to install the same size shim
ok example:
Exhaust Cyl 1 Measured 18mm & Shim=250 Now the chart tells me to install a shim size 250... this has me confused..
