I'm fairly new to the world of motorcycles, only had 50cc Peugeot scooter as 15yr old. Decided I wanted to ride something reliable and easy to maintain kind of bike. Did a little research on the web and settled my mind on Yamaha XJ600 and more accurately to the nude version.

I managed to find one approx. 50km (30miles) from where I live. Hopped on to my parents reliable little Hiace and little bit over hour later I was proud owner of XJ600N 1994(same year as I was born :D) The bike cost me 850e (920USD)

The bike WAS in riding condition and only problems were fairly old rear tire and broken speedometer. Bike had mileage of ~67000km(41000 miles).

Only pic I have on my work phone.

First thing I did after just revving for awhile I removed the tank cause I noticed the fuel filter being clogged. As I removed the tank I decided to drain it and remove the rust from inside with acid. Meanwhile I checked the fuel lines, didn't touch carburators or valves as I intended to take the bike to local motorcycleshop to get adjusted since this is my first bike and I dont want to break it before I get to enjoy it over the short summer of Finland :D After switching the fuel filter and getting some new fuel to the fuel tank I started up the bike with choke and let her run for awhile, it didn't seem to warm up at all. So I tried to rev her a bit and that's when she died on me for the first time. I was sure I screw up somehow so I took the tank apart and checked the fuel tap, fuel filter was put correctly and all the fuel lines were on their places.
Put her back to one piece and tried to fire her up, she tries to start but cant fire up. I noticed that my fuel filter is not getting gas on any of the fuel taps choices.
I'm open to all ideas and tried to search from the forum but couldn't find anything that could help me.
