cluster lights

Is it just my bike that has all the bulbs burnt out on the cluster or did the xj not come with lights in the cluster? Ive never ridden at night because i only have my permit but started it up at dusk the other night and nothing illuminated in the cluster. Cant see any place where bulbs would be/?
