The XJ600 and the GT125R both do use the BDS26 carbs but (and this is a big-but), they are only similar on their internal parts. The external parts are different and the one used in the GT125R is a much, much newer design.
Now that' I've prefaced that, the part you show isn't on the XJ600 carburetor. What connects to the boot? Is it a wire, a cable or a hose?
And, kind of like "Where's Waldo", do you see it on this diagram?
