Frame swap.. Help!

93 xj600se 13000 miles sat in garage 10 years after being rebuild but title never properly registered when sold to my father. I'm workin on servicing the bike to make sure it will run I found a 92 frame that was stripped down and being sold with a (clean) title on eBay in order to swap everything over quite concerned about registration problems after reading up online that instead of clean the title should be salvaged instead. Any advice on the best approach to this? Dos and fonts of buying. Frame with a title to swap my parts over to? Any help is appreciated guys ..
