Hello. Brand New owner of an XJ

Hello,
I rode for a couple of years when i lived in Wyoming. I had an 2007 Yamaha R6 and didnt really enjoy cruising for more than a couple of hours at a time due to back pain. I ended up selling the bike and hadn't ridden in 3 years. A few weeks ago i completed an MSRC course and realized i needed to get a bike again and knock off the rust. I ended up doing some digging and i managed to find a 1993 Yamaha XJ 600 Diversion (EU Version). Once i did some research i realized i had to buy it. I paid 500 Euro (about 570 USD) so i feel as though i received a good deal on it. Once i complete some basic maintenance i plan to ride it all summer. Once the snow starts the fall, i will put it in the garage and do some upgrades. I absolutely want to remove the fairing and install a nice 7" headlight. Additionally, i would like to upgrade the rear shock and possibly replace the rear wheel in order to have more options for tires. I've been reading all over the site and i am stoked to get my hands dirty.
