Tinting a nontinted visor?

So here's the dealio, I'd love to buy a tinted visor, but they no longer make a tinted visor for my helmet.(I got the helmet because it was suppose to come with one but it didn't 
.) So I'm going to buy a clear one and tint it myself. What % tint should I use? Have you guys done this? Thanks for any help!
