HELP!!!

Hi guys,
I'm having a problem with my 92 divvy.
when it is warming up smoke is coming out of the exhaust and it sounds like it is "popping" is the only way i can discribe it. there is a smell of oil to the smok as well, can you help?
I have replaced all the spark plugs, could it be riding too rich?
how do i fix it and what is up with my baby?
