carb sync barbs needed

anyone know where I can find the 6mm metal spigots that mercmorrison references in the carb sync guide? these are the guys that fit into the holes in the intakes for the sync hoses to attach to. my neighbor has an old mercury gauge and I am wondering if these spigots come with the new tools?
the old lady works at a hardware store and best we can tell, the screw is m6 with a 1.0 pitch thread and I would need a hose barb on the other end. she took a quick look around today and didn't see anything to match and I assured her someone here would surely know where to find these.
