needle seats stuck...really stuck

Ok, the lovely wife has been sent off to florida for some best friend therapy before the new semester starts and I'm stuck here in louisville watching the munchkins and doing some bike work after bedtime. My ebay carb turned out to be a looker outside but a flat out mess inside. Everything is apart and soaking in the lovely smelling pinesol...it really does smell lovely here in the apartment... I just can't get the stupid needle seats out.
I need to know about the air/fuel/pilot jet too. I got this one out, welsh plugs pulled and these turned really easily (unlike the other bank I have which are awaiting monies for a machine shop)...but, when I pulled the jets, I only got the spring....I thought there was a washer and an o-ring... if so, how should I get those out? Pick? big drill bit, alligator hatchling or leach...
