VFR single swingarm conversion?

Has anyone attempted to do a conversion with a single sided swing arm yet?
I've seen some very good deals on Ebay UK for some VFR400 and VFR800 arms and I'm really tempted to start picking up the parts as that would be one awesome looking XJ if it's possible.
