Replacement Vacuum Hose and Fuel Line

As part of the overhaul on the '97, I'm sourcing new vacuum and fuel lines. I hate using the cheap stuff that the auto parts chains sell because it seems to wear out after a year and I don't want to be in the middle of nowhere and have a vacuum or fuel leak.

I've been using silicone vacuum hoses on my truck and they hold up well. Specifically, the silicone vacuum hose by the foot that Hose Techniques sells. It runs between $2 and $4 per foot but will last much longer than rubber lines and can be bought in cool colors.

For fuel line, I've read good things about Motion Pro's fuel lines. It's a bit more expensive at $3 per foot but is advertised as being ethanol resistent and should be good for the higher-temperatures that our air-cooled engines see.

So what do you all use; what's your thought on fuel and vacuum hoses?
