newbie needs help with diagnosing a problem or two.

Hi all im wondering if anyone can help.ive had a diversion 600 4br for a few months now but due to waiting for the title/v5 for a while ive had (pebbles) out on the road once . Although I passed my test nearly two years ago id waited to buy a bike,.so its my first bike but I know she wont be going anywhere.for two reasons.despite being a little under the weather and not starting up shes mine and I wont give up on her.so on with the problem I guess.a few weeks ago I was setting off for my first ride since passing my test.due to waiting for paperwork etc.i made sure I changed the oil, filter, fuel, sparks plugs all seemed fine it started and rode fine for all of a mile.she cut out at a set of lights.so I started to sweat.not knowing what was going on.anyway she started and off I went again.same issue at a another set of lights a mile or so on.so I started to try and time the lights to go through without stopping.i got to my destination 25 miles later.later that night I set back off home.without needing to stop I plodded on.about 9 miles in the I heard a click and I lost power from 50mph to a rolling stop.i tried restarting the engine at the side of the road but the battery was failing.luckily my brother has a van so he picked me up.since then ive bought a new battery new fuel filter and checked as much as I was able to with a multi meter.i think the new battery was 12.7v.the old was 12.4 but with a load dropped to 9.2.with load on the new it was 11.4v.the starter turns ive checked the spark plugs,filled the tank with new fuel.cleaned the carbs now im stuck does anyone have any suggestions.that may be able to help me out.i know an easy answer but until all hope fails I want to keep her.cheers nick
