Talking with Passengers or other riders?

What kind of options exist for for communication between your passenger or other riders? I am looking for something to either put inside my existing helmet or maybe a new helmet (full face) with the integrated technology. But I don't know a whole lot about what's available or what everyone else uses to communicate. And what kind of budget should I be considering in looking for a communication option.
