New rider from CT

Hi all. JIm here, from Hamden CT. Just picked up my first XJ today as a second bike that will almost never carry a passenger 
It's a 1993 Seca II, and I get the feeling I'm gonna like it a lot.
Rattle-can paint job, but the guy did it right. It actually looks good in person, with fuel-proof clearcoat and everything. New bits all over the bike (including really fresh rubber), I can't find any leaks and everything seems tight. The center stand doesn't work, the spring isn't attached yet, but everything else is solid. Corbin seat has seen better days but no real big holes or anything.
I'll probably do a shock replacement ASAP, as it is soft as butter, but beyond that, I'm gonna let the bike be and just go ride it. This place looks like a fantastic resource. I already saved money by learning what these bikes are worth and negotiating down, so thanks!
