Brake Overhaul?

Hey guys,
My front brakes don't work at all, when i pull the lever it compresses easily but there is no action. So I opened up the front master cylinder and the fluid was all brown with white nastiness in it so i drained the brakes lines completely
I now see that that was foolish. Anyway I think it might be a god idea to get a fresh brake line and rebuild the MC. Does anyone know if i need to get specific brake lines? If so maybe link some? Thanks!
