Non Factory Sized Tyres

Having researched tyres for my Yamaha XJ 600 91' & then seeing the tyres on bike they where totally different.
Its running 100/90 18 Front & 130/90 18 Rear (Kings Tyre) :what:
Is it ok too run tyres of this size on bike and not factory standard?
