Thumping sound

Last night while riding through the beautiful cityscape that is Downtown LA. My 92 started to make thumping noises in 1st and 2nd gear. I'm thinking clutch. Any other thoughts? How difficult is that to replace on a 1-10 scale? Also eBay or Amazon for parts? Could it be anything else?
