Airbox to Carbs - Am I doing this right?

I'm trying to get my intake system back together. The velocity stacks were a bear to get back on, so much so that I'm not sure I did it right. Took a heat gun to each one to get it malleable enough to get slipped back on to the intake plenum on the carb.
Did I lose something to connect the carbs to the velocity stacks?
