Carrying second helmet

I've researched this on other sites/forums but nothing really stuck out.
How would you go about carrying a second helmet on the Seca? I already ride with a backpack but a helmet wouldn't fit in it. I don't plan on dropping a few hundred dollars on a backpack that would.
I've seen the cargo net idea but heard it scratches your bike.
Any other suggestions?
