Stuff for the Journey

I know the vast majority of you don't have what we call 'top boxes' here in jolly old England but nevertheless I would welcome any comments.
I've been packing my top boxes (one on each bike now) with items that I have, in the past, regretted not bringing wirth me - no tools yet but a map, and when I can find it, a compass, a jumper, waterproof over-trousers (my textile armoured bike trousers aren't entirely waterproof any more), a rag and water plus some wipes to clean my visor, spare scarf, spare gloves and neck warmer tubes, spare petrol and oil. Oh and my bike lock.
