Hello,
I bought a 1994 Yamaha Seca last year, found it on CL for $400 it was not running a the time, the tires where low, well basically it need it plenty of work. I myself am not that familiar with the bike, this would be my first bike.
I did ny research and discovered what type of bike it was. I looked into different shops to get it back up and running but many did not have space or time. I ended up finding a guy on CL who was affordable.
I dropped the bike off at his shop last summer, with the hope that he would get it going in . He managed to get it to turn and run , but thats all he did. all I got after that where excuses on why he was not able to get it fixed.
I bought the bike a new gas tank, old one was rusted! bought the new brakes, petcock, new filter. basically what the mechanic said needed to be replaced in the end he did not do anything. last sunday he finally returned it and well im back at square one, ( maybe two, the bike now turns on) I found this site and it has been very helpfull. I will up load pics of it. I am looking to restore the bike and fix it .. granted im new to this I am pretty handy with tools.
I will let keep you guys up to date on my progress
thx
