MOT failure

As it says really
Failed on front wheel bearings and the shock absorber being goosed.
Reckon I can get front wheel bearings for less than a tenner which isn't too bad, but the shock is more of an issue.
As I'm on a tight budget at the moment, it looks like the shocker from an ER6 kawa is going to be the best option; I've been toying with the idea of jacking the rear end up a bit, and it also looks dead easy to fit (just some washers as spacers for the lower mount point as far as I can tell). Thought about a CBR shock too although they're a bit more expensive and slightly more of a fiddle to fit.
So I'm a bit fed up really.
