Engine suddenly stopped turning over

hey guys, i have currently been working on basically rebuilding my bike. when i got it, the pistons were shot and i was getting less than 40psi of pressure out of each cylinder. i have replaced the pistons, rings, gaskets and everything else that goes along with that. got everything put together last night. tested the compression. it was right on the money! hooked the carbs on today to start the bike. not wanting to hook the tank up quite yet i used some starter fluid. the bike started right up and ran till the fluid burned off a few seconds later. the bike started a good 10-12 times until it decided to stop turning over completely. the starter is working fine, im getting a spark. but seems like i have lost all compression. i am running out of money ( as 4 new pistons and components are not cheap!) and am dying to get this bike out of the garage and onto the road. any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you!
