Motion pro carb sync tool

Hey guys, I have rebuilt my carb and am in the process of installing a new head. I bought a motion pro sync tool and was wondering if anyone here has any experience with it. Has anyone ever used it?
Do I connect the hoses to the necks between head and carb? The bolts on those metal necks are 6mm and I assume that's where the adapters screw in?
