MOT fail

So she failed her MOT but not on anything to major.
rear wheel bearings, loose chain, head light aim and then front caliper sticking.
when i collected the bike the mot guy said it may be worth changing the chain so i have done. just to keep him happy for my retest. bearings and chain done and were very easy.
i dont know if its been done on here yet but changing the chain i knocked a link out and cable ties the new to the old and just pulled it through. saved having to undo the casing on the bike. guessing some good time saving to as i was in the rain doing the job.
now my problem...
the front caliper. i have taken it off, took pads out and applied the brake... cleaned it up and pushed it back in. did this a few times and it got easier and easier to do. but i could only clean the sides of the pistons i could see. when i refit it all, the brakes still bind
if i pop the piston out to clean it fully will i have to re-blead / put new fluid into the bike as i can not get off one of the top cover screws. or is their another way to do it?
any tips on an easy way to lower the height of the light?
thank you all once again
