nearly ready to ride the old girl

Well now ive done the front forks on the bike and recieved my license back i get get underway with the final steps of becoming a xj rider.
with the forks how ever, for anyone planning on doing them. the 24mm tool that needs to be mocked up to split them. I found that tow bar bolts were perfect just incase anyone that hasnt done it needs to.
now i have to pop the bike in for mot. While doing the forks ive give the bike a wash, checked for play in the rear swing arm, wheels etc. all lights work and secured well. Exhaust isnt blowing and leavers all seem steady. is their any other pre mot checks i can have a look at?
