Will the petcock from a XJ 750 work on a 600?

I took mine apart today to get an idea about it's serviceability. One, the handle is broken, and two, one of the tubes that extends into the fuel tank is missing. The other one was rattling around inside the tank and had to be fished out. I've not had great success finding a replacement for the 600 but I've found several for a 750.
