Mini Chain Press Tool

This weekend am replacing my chain, sprocket and painting my swingarm. Has anyone used this Mini Chain Press Tool before? If not, any advice on how to attach the chain links together before I start? last year I attached the chain links together and I promised to make it easier on myslef this time..lol
