2 quick questions and pics

First of all is at the front of the airbox
As you can see there's a wee bit of oil that's come out, it's done it since I got the bike and its not much, but is there meant to be a pipe on there?
I'm going to crack the airbox open tomorrow to clean the filter and make sure it's not full of oil.
Second question, I've noticed some XJs don't have this pipe coming off the engine but they do have the bolt.
Is it just a oil cooling pipe?
