Asking for a friend!

My buddy picked up a Suzuki bandit went to change the oils and the plug was to rounded to get off so he layed the bike on its side to get the nut off ... Long story short he got it off changed the oil and fired it up ran for a few minutes and died ... He said there's a lot of smoke coming from it when it was running so obviously oil got somewhere it wasn't meant to be! What problems/solutions should be start with? Thanks guys
