Hi Everyone,

I’ve been lurking around here for a few months now trying to soak up all the info I can on these Secas and I figured it was about time to actually sign up. By the way, my name is Rick.

I currently have two bikes, an ‘02 Yamaha Roadstar Silverado, and a 1993 Seca II.
I bought the Seca last fall and managed to get some rides in before the snow started flying.

There sure is a word of difference between the two bikes and I’m really looking forward to some longer rides on the Seca this summer.

A little about my Seca. It’s a “new“ ‘93. I say “new“ because it had 932 miles on it when I took it for a test ride and 968 when I got it home. The tires were the originals and still had the rubber nubs on them. I got it from a local dealer and part of the deal was a set of new Avon tires for it. They had already put in a new battery, changed the oil, brake fluid, fork oil and cleaned the carbs. I’m up to about 1400 miles on her right now and hoping to add many more this year.

There are a couple of little chips in the paint and a few scuff marks here and there but over all it really looks good. It has the lower fairing and the paint is bubbled where it is close to the exhaust. Is this a common occurrence or does the mounting system need some tweaks?

Here’s a few pics--hope they come thru
