Engine cutting off....

I first noticed this today, I had gotten up to about 65mph, and was on a down slope. There was a red light at the bottom of the hill about 1/2 mile ahead. So I pulled in the clutch while in 6th gear and just coasted down the hill since I had more than enough speed and momentum to reach the light and I noticed that my rpms just fell off and then the bike died. I was able to start it right back up, still while coasting and it was like nothing happened. I tested this for a while longer and came to these conclusions:
Only when travelling at higher speed (>50 mph) if I pull the clutch in and coast along, my rpms drop down to 0 and the engine shuts off.
This doesn't happen when riding slow(<45).
If I brake and/or down shift from 50+mph it doesn't cut off.
I can hold the clutch in forever at a red light in gear and it doesn't cut off either.
Any ideas?
