It's Getting Hot in Here - Summer Gear Questions

I am good on jackets now, but as for pants/helmet/boots I am thinking of getting more airy stuff. I have yet to find a nice breathable pair of pants that isn't black over in GA. As for helmets, I am looking into the bilt bluetooth one in white or a lighter color.
My big question is, why do all manufacturers think black is good for summer? They keep making all this nice lightweight gear...in bake your brain black.
I am looking for a non-black helmet under 200 dollars that has a good bit of airflow.
Also looking for mesh/textile pants that can be slipped on over gym shorts and are not black.
I still havent decided if I want to give up my combat boots for riding yet as I love them so much, but they are definately one of the hotter articles of clothing I wear.
Other than outerwear, has anybody tried the heat-out base layers?
