Wheel painting?

So what does everyone do when painting the wheels? I know the duplicolor wheel paint is a favorate on here to make the wheels black but do you guys also spray it with the clear coat wheel stuff as well or is just the color good enough and durable enough? How many cans are needed per wheel?
