Hey guys, I just want to start off by saying thank you for voting me XJ of the month for April 2013. I have learned most of what I know from you guys here on the forum. I'll try to keep my story short and sweet.

At the end of Summer 2012, right after i finished high-school. I signed up for an MSF course near me. After passing, I stumbled across a 1997 Seca II/XJ600 with just under 10K miles on it. After viewing a few pictures on craigslist, I knew I had to have it. That weekend I went and picked up the bike. After haggling a bit we made a deal, it even came with a repair manual! Score!

Here is a picture of me going on my first ride ever!

I have modified my bike slightly with: a painted windscreen, rim stripes, exhaust, belly pan, ninja shock, and some other things i'm probably forgetting.

Riding motorcycles is one of the best experiences in my life. The sights, smells, sounds, and most importantly the sense of family you get when talking with another rider.

Thank you all once again,
Carter
