Float Height Levels for various Carbs

Here are some useful specs for float heights and fuel levels for 92-98 XJ600's (S and N models).

now there are some variables, due to wear and tear on the bike,settings and such, that these settings might not be the best. as said going by CLYMER's book. this would be the nominal settings for "normal" operations.
(EDIT..this is an OLDER book, so UK/CAN/AUS owners, and others i do NOT have info for 1999 and newer. ONLY 1992-1998)

AUS/CAN spec: (1992~1996) 11~13 MM (0.43~0.51 in)
UK spec: (1992~1995) 11~13 MM (0.43~0.51 in)
(1996~1998) 8.8~10.8 MM (0.35~0.42 in)

(a different setup on its own..but in case you know how to do it)
U.S. spec: (ALL U.S. models) 4~6 mm BELOW the float chamber line (marked on the outside of carbs)
AUS/CAN spec: (1992~1996) 3~5 mm (0.12~0.20 in) ABOVE float chamber line
UK spec: (1992~1995) 3~5 mm (0.12~0.20 in)ABOVE float chamber line
(1996~1998) 8.5~9.5 MM (0.34~0.37 in) ABOVE float chamber line.

allthough i triple checked the numbers, i tend to get a little punchy during the wee hours in the morning when im on here posting...typos may be prevailent..but im pretty sure the numbers are good. if you find anything glaring (other than spelling) let me know
