Electrical Nightmare - No power at all

Got a weird problem here that I fear the worst on and hopefully you guys could help me get started diagnosing this issue for the littlest money possible. I have already got an arm and a leg into this bike and can't afford any more trips to the shop. So here's the deal. I picked up my bike from the shop, after having a carb job done and jet kit installed. I drove it 40+ miles home no problem. The next morning, I ride about 2 miles and was idling at a stoplight. When the light changed and I gave it gas, the bike completely shut off, no headlights no nothing. I wheeled it into a parking space to check fuses and everything and nothing was blown. I took the bus and later towed the bike home. She is still in the same condition, nothing works when you turn the key. I have tried jumping it to no avail and it has a brand new battery installed. Where should I begin?e
